Personally, i think by torrent is still needed. I'm trying to download it now by the 'fast europe server' and i'm gonna have to wait 8 hours to download it.
Waiting 8 hours to download it isn't a problem, i can live with that, the problems is I don't like downloading big stuff (that will take time, just like this one) using the normal IE download because if anything happens we just lose all that we downloaded so far...
Can't the tracker be put online again?

well if some of you are scared of dling 800MB stuff with IE downloader, (not suprised why lol), consider using FlashGet... it's a download accelerator, google it o.o and yeah it can resume paused/interrupted downloads before you ask

I'm sorry to object - but we DO need the torrent.

See I have 56k dial-up - and I've been unable to find any download managers the work for the connection type. Before you start saying 'get a higher speed you f***king retard' I would if I could but cable and other options aren't out where I live - and the stuff that IS out where isn't trustworthy enough to download a two-meg zip file.

In order for me to have ANY hope of getting this mod I need another option... and only torrent files work. Is there ANYWHERE I can get an installer version of the Kobayashi Maru in torrent form?

No, but the half of the state I'm in is without a high speed internet connection. There's no cable out here, no DSL, no high-speed dial-up and satellite is too unreliable an option since the signal is constantly fading in and out.

how high is ypur download speed with mozilla fireforx, or internet exploerer?
if you have 10 kb/s the download will need 30 hours, so you may try it ( i know it is a damn long time, but if there is now other way)
